Ruth Bader Ginsburg, also known as RBG, was a justice in the Supreme Court from 1993 to 2020. She unfortunately passed away September 18, 2020, but she passed leaving an positive impact on our nation. Her fight for equality and against gender discrimination left a precedent for our society's stance on gender equality. Considering this, the impact she has on women's rights should not go unacknowledged. Amy Coney Barrett has been confirmed into the supreme court Monday (10-27-2020) to take the place of RBG. Unfortunately, her confirmation adds to the likeness that additional conservative rulings on cases will be made. This is because the current supreme court is a 6-3 conservative majority, which also adds a risk to the removal of crucial human rights, such as the LGBTQ+ marriage rights.
