Our Story
September 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, the struggles of the marginalized communities became abundantly evident. As unemployment increased, and as more people were stuck indoors, the difficulties of the marginalized groups in our community became a much larger topic of discussion. With seeing the clear, yet neglected sight of people struggling for food on the streets, hearing peers struggle to find clothes that suit their true gender as well as their transphobic parents’ likings, seeing families struggle with their lack of resources, and hearing countless and continuing stories of sexual assault/harassment happening to women, the need to put a foot forward for the betterment of society intensified. For this reason, a group of students came together and dedicated themselves to ameliorating such struggles and engendering opportunities for social change.
