Project Unity has partnered with Food Finders in order to send your donations to numerous families and children who are food insecure. YOU would have an enormous impact by allowing these people to have a nutritious meal this thanksgiving. All you have to do is come by and donate.

How?
We will be standing at the front. Pull up towards us with your vehicle and hand us the products you want to donate.
Then, make sure to sign in on the sheet with your name, contact info, and the number of items you donated, and what you donated. If you’re looking to be an anonymous donor, you may leave the name section blank but please still provide a form of contact (instructions will be given at the location of donation drop off).
* If you want service hours, this sign-in sheet is how we will know who you are and how many hours/minutes to give. Also, you can be anonymous to the public and still get hours, just provide the contact info.*

STUDENTS! VOLUNTEER!

For example, we won't give you 15 minutes if you donate two rolls of toilet paper or two single tampons. Rather, donate a pack of each.
2) Volunteer During the Drive- 20th & 21st
The drive is on the 20th and 21st of November,
so come by one or both of those days to help us accept donations from others.
3) Help us pass out flyers!- the 19th
Come out and help us pass out flyers to people in public in order to get more to donate.
4) Volunteer to sort out the donations!- 23rd
After the drive, come by the 23rd to help us sort
out the items and make sure everything is good to send to the families in need.
These are four really great opportunities to volunteer and help out your community! You can also get service hours! Come by and volunteer, we could really use your help :)

Clothing Drive!
Oct. 24th to 30th: Each day from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Important Information
The location the drive is taking place is not a part of Project Unity and is simply a separate location where the items will be stored and donated at. If you have questions pertaining to this nonprofit or the drive, the people there will likely not be able to provide the answers you need, so if you have questions please reach out through the forms of contact we provided.

VOLUNTEER
You can get 15 minutes of community service for every 2 items you donate.

You can get up to 3 or 4 service hours by volunteering during the drive.
- You would help sort out all the
donations in order to prepare for delivery to the wellness center. This would be towards the end of the set week for the drive. More information to come.

Help the trans community by showing up and donating to our clothing drive! Hygiene and NEW clothing items are accepted and will be given to the Trans Wellness Center-- which is a part of the Los Angeles LGBT Center. The Trans Wellness Center provides resources for transgender and non-binary people and specializes in care programs and services for the LGBT community. This is a great way to not only show support for this community but also be able to provide the ones in need with resources they may otherwise not have access to.
What do I donate? & How?
Clothing:
Adult new clothing, new undergarments only. No unclean/ripped/torn/children clothing will be accepted.
Shoes and Accessories:
Adult new dress shoes, heels, sneakers/casual shoes, accessories
Other donations received:
New makeup, hygiene/hair products/tools, tampons, pads, gender-neutral and masculine professional clothing
* Make sure all items are unopened and it MUST BE NEW because of Covid-19. *
How?
Walk into the building and tell the person at the front desk that you are donating to Project Unity’s Clothing Drive. They will either direct you to where you can place your items or will take your donations from you.
Then, make sure to sign-in on the sheet with your name, contact info, and the number of items you donated, and what you donated. If you’re looking to be an anonymous donor, you may leave the name section blank but please still provide a form of contact (instructions will be on sign-in paper at the location of donation drop off).
* If you want service hours, this sign-in sheet is how we will know who you are and how many hours/minutes to give. You will NOT be signed off for hours at the location of drop-off, you can contact us after you donate then expect a day or two for confirmation, then signature. Also, you can be anonymous to the public and still get hours, just provide the contact info.*

Food Drive!

Come out and donate to help the homeless population in Long Beach. Take a few minutes off your day to come by to our location and drop off some food and/or hygiene products. YOU can make a difference in your community! Join us in our effort to finish off the month of July helping the homeless and hungry!

** We will be outside, in the parking lot where you will see many students! We will definitely be recognizable--
When do I come?
We’re holding a food drive on the last three days of July;
29th, 30th, and 31st from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm.
Where are my Donations Going?
The Long Beach Rescue Mission: They strive to help the homeless and less fortunate in the community!
What do I donate? & How?
Please bring canned goods and non-perishable items!
Hygiene products are also accepted
* Make sure all items are unopened and in good condition or it will not be accepted *
How?
We will be standing in the parking lot of the location. Pull up towards us with your vehicle and hand us the products you want to donate. You do not need to get out of the car if you do not want to. If you're walking up to us, that is fine too but please maintain 6 feet distance with everyone.
Because of Covid-19, we prefer if you kept all products in the back seat or trunk so we can just open it and take out the items when you arrive.

Volunteer at our Food Drive!
Volunteer with us! Pick one or multiple time slot(s) you would like to come out and volunteer during the drive. You would do things like help organize all the items donated, disinfect the items, greet the donators, and wait out for people to come! You do get service hours.
